Remote Access lets you reach your RVAltCtrl device from outside your RV's own Wi-Fi network, through my.rvaltctrl.com. Check tank levels, turn off a light you left on, or run a routine from your phone, tablet, laptop, or PC, whether you're across the campground or across the country.
It's Secure
Access tokens can only be generated while you're connected to the device's own Wi-Fi network, standing right there at the RV, never remotely. Without a token, nobody can reach your RV from outside your network at all.
From the device, you generate a named access token: one for yourself, one for a family member, one for a support technician, each with its own expiration. A token is shown once, right when you create it, so you copy or share it immediately. It can't be retrieved again afterward, and you can revoke any token at any time to cut off that access instantly.
Getting Support
Need help troubleshooting? You can send a token directly to the RVAltCtrl support team without reading it aloud or pasting it anywhere yourself. It goes straight from your device to support, under your control the whole time.
An optional feature
Remote Access is part of RVAltCtrl's optional Feature Store, unlocked separately from the base device, or included automatically with the Adventure package. You can explore the token screen and see how it works without unlocking it; creating or managing live tokens requires the feature to be active.
